The Brief

As part of Penguin’s 90th Birthday celebrations we were asked to deliver a bold experiential event that drove the brand’s cultural relevancy among 18-25-year-olds and activated their brand positioning

What we did

Taking over one of East London’s iconic venues, The Truman Brewery over one weekend in July, we created three unique spaces to spark the differing responses of ‘thrills, soothes and empowers’ through dynamic theming, vibrant colours and engaging alongside genre-specific installations. The live days featured exclusive author talks, workshops, brand partnership activations (Crocs/MOTH cocktails) and an evening party.

The Result

 The event attracted over 3,000 people over the course of two days, with as many book titles given away to attendees, exceeding Penguin’s original audience targets.
